A Day in the Life
You arrive on the shop floor and scan the maintenance board: a CNC mill showing hydraulic drift, an overhead crane due for inspection, and a compressor trending hot. You prioritize, plan, and execute—moving from root-cause diagnostics to precision repair so production never misses a beat.
- Troubleshoot and evaluate mechanical malfunctions to determine effective repair plans
- Repair CNC milling equipment across mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Work with Fanuc controls during diagnostics and recovery
- Read and interpret hydraulic and mechanical blueprints to guide accurate fixes
- Perform facility maintenance on compressors, cranes, hydraulic pumps, and related equipment
- Create work orders and document all repairs for traceability and effectiveness
- Collaborate with engineering to reverse engineer components when needed
- Execute preventative maintenance across all equipment to reduce downtime
- Detect and promptly report unusual conditions to your supervisor
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of maintenance and machine repair experience
- Hands-on experience with Fanuc controls
- Ability to read mechanical and hydraulic blueprints
- High mechanical aptitude and strong math skills
- Personal tool set as specified
Even Better If You Have
- Familiarity with Fanuc ladders and parameter adjustments
- Experience adjusting machine geometry or rebuilding to OEM specifications
- Electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting skills
