JOB DESCRIPTION


POSITION:                       CNC MACHINIST I (2nd Shift)


LOCATION:                      Chatsworth, CA


SHIFT:                              4:30pm–1am (Monday through Friday)


 



BASIC FUNCTIONS:



  • Responsible for operating one or more types of computer numeric-controlled production equipment.  CNC Machine Operation, Milling, Precision Machining

  • Ability to interpret Blueprints/Diagrams and Quality Requirements.

  • Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, work processes/products, company policy, and to make improvements or taking corrective action.

  • Selects appropriate settings and makes adjustments as necessary.  Troubleshooting

  • Follows established quality and safety standards. 

  • Basic understanding of machine tool clearances, fixture offsets, and cutting tool offsets.

  • Monitors machine operations and inspect machined parts to ensure job specifications are met.

  • Selects from a variety of standard methods to inspect intricate parts.

  • Highly organized individual with excellent communication skills.

  • Additional machining responsibilities as needed.


 


 


 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



  • 1-3 years of experience related to above duties.

  • High school diploma, 2 years of trade school or equivalent or combination of education and experience.

  • Effective Communication oral and written.


SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES


Language Skills:
Ability to read, understand, and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedural documentation. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish) are preferred but not required.
