We are seeking a skilled Machinist to fabricate precision parts using CNC mills, lathes, routers, lasers, 3D printers, and waterjets in Mountain View, CA.
- Fabricate parts with tight tolerances, sometimes within ±0.020mm
- Interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings to determine manufacturing methods
- Design and build tooling and fixtures as needed
- Prepare tools and materials for projects and manage multiple deadlines
- Maintain and service machine shop and fabrication equipment
- Proactively monitor supplies, highlight shortages, and minimize disruptions
- Assemble tight-tolerance electro/mechanical systems using hand and power tools
- Handle all project phases from conceptual design and 3D CAD to fabrication and assembly
- Understand material properties to inform material selection for components
