This role is for an experienced CNC Programmer seeking advanced machining challenges.
Responsibilities include:
- Programming 3-, 4-, and early 5-axis parts using TopSolid or similar software
- Supporting mill-turn work, live tooling, and secondary spindle operations
- Setting tooling, speeds, feeds, and cutting strategies
- Running simulations and supporting proof outs
- Taking parts from print review through first article inspection
- Troubleshooting issues like chatter, tool wear, and finish quality
- Creating setup sheets and process documentation
- Collaborating with machinists during setup and initial runs
- Improving programs for clarity, consistency, and efficiency
Required Skills:
- 3-6 years in CNC programming or advanced setup
- Experience with multi-axis machining
- Proficiency in print reading and GD&T
- Comfort with shop floor troubleshooting
Preferred Skills:
- Mill turn or live tooling lathe experience
- Experience in aerospace or tight-tolerance work
- Strong drive for technical growth
