We are currently seeking a Commercial HVAC Project Manager based in Elgin, IL, to lead projects across Chicagoland. With a strong pipeline of diverse commercial work—ranging from car dealerships to restaurants and office buildings—this is an incredible opportunity for a seasoned HVAC professional ready to take their career to the next level in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Commercial HVAC Project Manager position include:
- 10+ years of experience in commercial HVAC construction, including service, sheet metal, and mechanical systems.
- Experience managing commercial projects ranging from $200K to $4M+, including ductwork, piping, wiring, and controls.
- Strong knowledge of industry codes including EPA 608, SMACNA, International Mechanical Code, and International energy codes.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to oversee and manage a team of 20–30 field employees while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
- Responsible for scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring timely completion of commercial HVAC projects.
- Expected to be onsite approximately 40% of the time and in the office 60%; some local travel required.
- Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project goals are achieved.
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
