Job Overview:
Altrol Inc., Alaska's top HVAC and plumbing contractor, is hiring a seasoned Commercial & Residential Service Manager to lead our field operations across service, installation, and plumbing departments. This leadership role is responsible for managing multiple teams and ensuring service delivery that exceeds customer expectations. From technician training to job costing to customer success, you'll orchestrate a highly productive environment that balances people, process, and performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coach field teams across Residential/Commercial Service, Installation, and Plumbing.
- Ensure department profitability by tracking job costing, KPIs, and technician productivity daily.
- Conduct weekly ride-alongs and field support for HVAC and plumbing technicians.
- Implement Nexstar Service Systems to elevate customer experience and employee performance.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training for techs, plumbers, and installers.
- Enforce company uniform, safety, and professional conduct standards.
- Conduct weekly department meetings and quarterly team-building breakfasts.
- Manage flat-rate pricing usage, quoting practices, and commercial bid workflows.
- Maintain accurate scheduling and dispatching in partnership with dispatch and warehouse staff.
- Review and approve invoices, timesheets, and warranty work.
- Collaborate with accounting, operations, marketing, and estimators to align strategic goals.
- Inspect all completed installs for quality control and customer satisfaction.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and ensure every interaction delivers a 'WOW' experience.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years in HVAC, plumbing, or construction management.
- Strong background in team leadership, scheduling, field operations, and performance reviews.
- Proficient in service KPIs, job costing, and P&L management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of flat-rate pricing and HVAC/plumbing codes required.
- Technically capable and comfortable assisting in the field when needed.
- Proficient in computers, tablets, and service software platforms.
- High school diploma required; college or trade school education preferred.

Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday-Friday (8-10 hour shifts)
