Description

Position Summary:
The Commercial Strategic Operations Director is a pivotal leader in driving operational excellence and enabling profitable growth across all revenue-generating channels. This role combines strategic planning, operational execution, and analytical rigor to optimize processes, build and track key
performance indicators (KPIs), and lead cross-functional initiatives that align with long-term businessobjectives. This role is responsible to scope and execute high-impact strategic projects, such as market expansions and channel optimization strategies, while serving as a key driver for critical cross-functional processes such as the go-to-market (GTM) strategy.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Data-Driven Performance Management

  • Develop, implement, and manage KPIs and dashboards to measure the performance of all revenue-driving channels, including retail, e-commerce, wholesale and corporate.
  • Provide actionable insights based on data analysis to improve efficiency, profitability, and decision-making across channels.
  • Partner with finance and analytics teams to ensure alignment on financial metrics and reporting frameworks.

Process Optimization:

  • Define, document, and refine processes to improve operational efficiency and scalability across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels.
  • Identify bottlenecks and gaps in existing workflows, proposing and executing solutions to streamline operations.
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices and fostering cross-functional collaboration.

Strategic Project Leadership:

  • Scope, plan, and execute discrete strategic initiatives, such as
    • Price changes
    • Sales channel growth initiatives and customer analysis
  • Develop business cases, manage timelines and budgets, and deliver recommendations to seniorleadership.

Cross-Functional Program Management:

  • Lead project management for key cross-functional processes, including product launches andseasonal packaging development.
  • Ensure alignment across marketing, merchandising, operations, and sales teams to deliver seamless execution of initiatives.
  • Facilitate regular updates, manage dependencies, and resolve risks or blockers to achieve project goals.

Qualifications


Key Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 4+ years in consulting, strategy, operations, or project management roles preferred; familiarity with retail, e-commerce, or wholesale industries is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to develop and track KPIs, analyze complex datasets, and deliver insights to drive decision-making.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to scope and execute high-impact, long-range projects with a focus on profitability and scalability.
  • Process-Oriented: Strong experience in defining and optimizing business processes to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated success in managing large, cross-functional initiatives with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Tools: Proficiency in tools like Excel, Tableau, SQL, and project management platforms such as Asana or Monday.com.
