We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our team in Canby, OR. In this role, you will play a key part in placing, shaping, and finishing concrete surfaces for a variety of flatwork applications. The ideal candidate brings strong craftsmanship, expert troweling skills, and a commitment to producing high‑quality, durable results in all site conditions.
The Concrete Finisher will place, finish, protect, and repair concrete for slabs, sidewalks, driveways, curbs, aprons, and related flatwork. This position requires precision in grade and slope control, the ability to achieve a wide range of finish types, and strong collaboration with team members, form setters, and ready‑mix suppliers.
Prepare, clean, and set up surfaces for concrete placement, ensuring proper alignment, elevation, and leveling.
Mix, pour, place, and spread concrete according to project specifications.
Place, level, and finish concrete using hand tools and power tools, including screeds, bull floats, trowels, edgers, jointers, walk‑behind and ride‑on trowels.
Achieve required finish types such as broom, steel trowel, hard‑trowel, exposed aggregate, and stamped textures.
Set and verify elevations, pitch, and surface tolerances; read and follow pour plans and technical drawings.
Apply curing methods, sealers, hardeners, and other surface treatments as specified.
Perform saw cutting, patching, and surface repairs; address cold joints, edges, and imperfections.
Coordinate with form setters and ready‑mix suppliers regarding timing, slump, and pour sequencing.
Inspect finished surfaces for quality and make adjustments as needed.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment; follow all safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
Train and mentor apprentices or laborers as needed; contribute to a positive team culture.
Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role.
Strong knowledge of concrete finishing techniques, tools, and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, pour plans, and technical drawings.
Excellent physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality workmanship.
Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
