Construction Inspector
Statesboro, GA Area
We are seeking a Construction Inspector to join our growing team and support utility and civil site projects across Georgia and South Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including water and sewer utilities, storage and treatment facilities, civil site work, and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and monitor construction projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and industry standards.
Oversee work related to water and sewer utilities, storage tanks, conveyance and treatment facilities, site development, and commercial construction.
Serve as the engineers representative on-site, communicating progress, quality, and potential issues to project managers.
Coordinate with contractors and project owners to keep projects on schedule.
Maintain daily inspection logs, complete forms, and provide regular reports.
Document construction activities with photos and update project drawings with as-built information.
Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and product data for compliance.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering inspection or construction supervision.
Erosion & Sediment (E&S) Level 1A Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
Strong knowledge of water and sewer utility systems, wastewater treatment plants, storage tanks, and related civil infrastructure.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Valid drivers license; willingness to travel within Georgia and South Carolina.
Additional Details:
Company vehicle provided for travel to job sites.
Position is based in the Statesboro, GA area, with reporting to the Augusta office once a week.
This role involves both field work and limited office visits.
