Seeking a full-time Construction Inspector to support federal construction projects at the VAMC. Responsibilities include conducting daily on-site inspections of architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical systems, verifying compliance with drawings, codes, and safety standards. The role involves identifying deficiencies, monitoring schedules, reviewing RFIs and change orders, maintaining detailed records, supporting quality assurance, and ensuring OSHA compliance. Candidates should have a strong understanding of construction practices, codes, and documentation, with excellent communication skills and proficiency in management software like Procore or Bluebeam. Requirements include an Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience (minimum 10 years in construction inspection), a 10-hour OSHA safety course, and experience reading construction drawings.
