The Construction Site Safety and Health Officer/Quality Control (SSHO/QC) is responsible for managing daily QC and safety programs on construction projects to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Responsibilities include overseeing all work phases, inspecting construction, reviewing submittals, maintaining documentation, coordinating testing, and leading safety initiatives.
- Ensures proper implementation of safety plans, conducts safety meetings, investigations, and site inspections, and enforces safety protocols to promote a zero-incident culture.
- Collaborates with project teams, reviews design and construction documents, and manages quality control processes, including punch-outs and final inspections.
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, 5+ years of QC experience on USACE or similar projects, and safety certifications such as CQM and OSHA 30-hour course.
- Must pass background checks, hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to operate field equipment, lift 30 pounds, and work in outdoor conditions with PPE.
- This full-time, exempt role reports to the Project Manager and involves no supervisory responsibilities.
