Job Summary

Construction Superintendent located in Collegeville, PA
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to lead field operations throughout the duration of our construction projects. The role requires effective management of jobsite activities and communication with various stakeholders, including owners, employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all field operations for the entire duration of the construction project.
  • Act as the primary jobsite contact for the owner, employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors.
  • Plan and manage the jobsite safety program, including pre-job safety planning, first aid kit management, accident investigation procedures, safety equipment, and toolbox talks.
  • Review project plans and specifications before starting field work. Create and update a list of required information to build the project.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to prepare and update the project schedule, providing progress reports as needed.
  • Review subcontracts, change orders, and purchase orders for their scope of work.
  • Establish and maintain the jobsite office and temporary facilities, including communications, drinking water, restrooms, power, weather protection, and fire prevention.
  • Plan daily manpower requirements, material deliveries, equipment needs, and subcontractor activities.
  • Maintain a current set of project plans, specifications, and schedule at the jobsite.
  • Review and comment on all vendor submittals during the review period and maintain approved submittal information at the jobsite.
  • Inspect all workmanship on the project, especially before any crew leaves the jobsite.
  • Conduct pre- and post-job meetings with subcontractors.
  • Ensure the jobsite is kept clean.
  • Keep an updated, marked-up set of as-built drawings.
  • Schedule and be onsite for all inspections.
  • Accompany the Project Manager during the warranty period, conduct warranty inspections, ensure all necessary work is completed, and report any unexpected conditions.
