Position Summary

The Contracting Services Department - Design & Construction subunit is seeking a Senior Subcontracts Administrator for our Construction Team. There is a billet gap on the team that needs fulfilling by a temporary contingent worker

 

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to: 

 

•Engages in planning, soliciting, administering and close out of contracts.• Bid/proposal activities include IFB, RFP, RFQ, Quote, and RFI.• Prepares purchase orders / change orders and creates contract files, as well as provide professional and courteous customer service to clients via in-person, phone, and email interaction. • Participates in sourcing methods, pricing, negotiations, awarding and documenting. • Other position responsibilities include experience soliciting and analysing quotations.• Negotiating terms and conditions; working with internal stakeholders to ensure expectations are met.• Preparing correspondence and documentation necessary to secure government consent.

 

 

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain the level of clearance. • Bachelor's degree with minimum • (3) years of experience in construction, design, architect and engineering (A&E) procurement experience. • Professional Certification in Purchasing or Government Contracting• Working knowledge of the FAR/DFARS, sourcing methods, pricing, negotiation, awarding and documenting. • Experience with SAP procurement modules.• Experience with the entire construction project life cycle (feasibility, design, construction)• Ability to obtain and maintain a government DoD security clearance.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint• Demonstrated capabilities in presenting ideas written and orally within a cross- functional environment.•

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • The successful candidate will be involved in planning, soliciting, administering and close out of design and construction related contracts. • Third party procurement or contracting certifications (i.e., organizations: NCMA, DAU, NIGP, APICS)• Federal/State/Local government design and construction contracts experience a plus
