The AC-130J Academic/Simulator/Contract Instructor (CI) Pilot will deliver formal aircrew academic and simulator training for officer and enlisted students in close air support, air interdiction, and armed reconnaissance missions.
Essential functions include instructing on emergency procedures, systems operation, instrument flight, and tactical operations; providing refresher training; assisting in courseware development; and becoming a CCAF-certified instructor.
Requirements include a security clearance, a Bachelor's degree, recent AC-130J pilot experience (within 2 years or 8 years with prior operational flying and instructor hours), and U.S. citizenship. Waivers may be considered for relevant experience. Candidates must obtain an active SECRET clearance, demonstrate adaptability, work 40 hours/week (overtime possible), and possess strong communication skills.
