Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Manager supporting the corporate office and field offices across the U.S. With a diverse portfolio and anticipated growth over the next several years, we are looking to augment our Contracts Department.

 

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • All aspects of contract administration support (including contract administration and execution, proposal development, interaction with Security, Finance, Operation, etc., contract negotiation, and closeout processes) for U.S. Government contracts (services and software).
  • Evaluation of contract documents to determine requirements, areas of clarification and negotiation with terms and conditions (with the required research), the necessity for amendments, and ability for Odyssey to comply with contractual obligations.
  • Oversee and input data into Contracts Management/General Ledger/ system in accordance with all Odyssey guidance and policies and analyze and interpret data for reporting purposes. 
  • Maintain communications with all stakeholders proactively to ensure timely contract execution by the parties, at award and with each modification. 
  • Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements within Odyssey and external customers and draft memos of negotiation.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers as the Contract Representative to Operations for assigned contracts and provide guidance interpretation, advice and counsel to Operations and Accounting regarding Contract matters.
  • Actively participate in Department process improvement initiatives, new procedures, software packages, and interdepartmental activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, promote an ethics-based business culture, and ensure full compliance with Odyssey’s Employee Handbook and related policies.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Basic Qualifications: The successful candidate must have U.S. Government Acquisition experience, preferably in Contracts but other areas of support will be considered, e.g., proposals, purchasing. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are a must have, along with the ability to establish beneficial working relationships with all customers, both internally and externally.  
  • The selected candidate must be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision. The candidate must be able to handle multiple assignments and achieve or exceed program deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
  • The candidate will be skilled in, and continue to learn, interpreting contract requirements, change impacts, and supporting development of U.S. Government Contract proposals. The individual will be adept researching governing clauses e.g., FAR, DFARs, applicability, negotiation and positioning relative to the acquisition and procurement process 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite is required, as are regulatory research skills .

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
  • Google platforms/Drive/Gmail
  • Deltek Costpoint
