We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our Finance team. This is a pivotal role that will oversee the company's financial operations, drive financial strategy, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in financial accounting, forecasting, and analysis, along with a deep understanding of general ledger functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations of the company, including the development and management of budgets, preparation of financial statements and reporting to company executives and the board.
- Develop and implement business strategies to achieve the financial objectives of the business.
- Ensure compliance with all internal controls, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
- Manage and oversee the entire accounting team.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master’s degree or CPA is a plus.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role within the finance industry.
- Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).
- Ability to strategize and solve problems.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
