The Controller will oversee all financial reporting and accounting functions for health insurance plans, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SSAP standards.
Responsibilities include leading the accounting team, managing timely financial reports, overseeing regulatory filings (NAIC, CMS), coordinating external audits, developing financial controls, and conducting SOX reviews.
The role involves supporting month-end closes, budgeting, accounts payable, regulatory requests, and reinsurance administration, while contributing to strategic planning and projections with treasury.
Qualifications include a CPA, a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), 5+ years in health insurance finance, and strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements.
