This role involves preparing patient and cafeteria food items according to standardized recipes, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Prepare menu items following recipes and participate in quality improvement activities.
- Monitor inventory, portion control, and recipe compliance to support financial and operational goals.
- Contribute to patient and customer satisfaction through menu planning and specials.
- Maintain regular attendance and perform physical requirements as needed.
- Requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. and at least 6 months of food service experience.
- Skills include knowledge of institutional cooking, food safety, inventory principles, recipe preparation, portion control, and leadership in absence of supervision.
- Must obtain a Food Handlers Card within 90 days.
