Corporate Finance Manager

This candidate will help oversee the strategic financial analysis of the department while managing a team of analysts. The team will be responsible for financial analyses around capital investment, sales finance, expansion, real estate analysis, mergers and acquisitions, governance and cash flow modeling for both domestic and international operations. Ultimately, the Corporate Finance team is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting and conveying key financial information to decision makers / senior leadership both within and outside of the Finance Department.

This role will also assist in overall corporate finance evaluation regarding FX, interest rate hedging and bank financing.

Detailed Description

  • Lead a team while leveraging strategic financial expertise in direct support of the company’s leadership by collaborating cross-functionally with partners at all levels of the company to deliver critically thought-out recommendations
  • Develop robust financial models to illustrate value creation with a particular focus on forward looking analyses in the areas of expansion, plant CapEx, and M&A activities
  • Support Sales & Business Development team with new product evaluation & margin analysis to ensure product pricing is appropriate given category and competitive dynamics
  • Conduct real estate investment analysis as well as lease renewal recommendations based on trending market rental rates, cap rates, etc.
  • Build treasury-related one-off analyses to support CFO’s cash flow management strategy
  • Assist VP of Corporate Finance with short lead time or other ad-hoc special projects as needed
  • Conduct Post-Mortem analyses to understand true returns on strategic CapEx investments
  • Provide financial leadership in all aspects of current and prospective business ventures
  • Design, develop and prepare accurate and timely reports and analysis, providing financial guidance and general business direction for influencing business decisions and the achievement of strategic goals (business segments, brands, products, plant investments, etc.)
  • Review and improve workflow and processes within the Finance department
  • Prepare presentations for leadership, including internal and external Boards highlighting results and recommendations surrounding completed work
  • Identify and execute financial analysis to optimize business performance
  • Assist cross functional departments in analysis to improve overall company financial and operations performance
  • Assist VP of Corporate Finance in reviewing financing and financial planning based on cash flow forecasts
  • Work closely with other managers on the broader Finance and Accounting team to ensure consistency in presentation
  • Limited travel may be required, domestic and international (less than 25%)

Work Experience/KSA’s

  • Required:
    • 7-10 years  – Work in finance/accounting field with progressive responsibilities
    • 5-7 years  – Supervising a team of 2-5 people

    • 7-10 years  – Supervising a team
    • 10+ years  – Work in finance/accounting field                     
    • 2-4 years  – Modeling and cash flow forecasting working with multiple currencies

Competencies

  • Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot tables, Vlookup, Sumif, Sensitivity Analysis, Index/Match, etc.)
  • Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Access); other database management included
  • Previous experience with Oracle or other ERP system, preferred
  • Experience and comfort with large data set extraction, clean-up and analysis
  • Must possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work assignments with limited guidance in a changing environment
  • Ability to seek and obtain information from a wide range of sources and individuals both within, and outside of, the Finance department
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects and complete assignments quickly and accurately
  • Excellent presentation, communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills.

  • Minimum Required: 
    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other related field
  • Preferred: 
    • Master's Degree or MBA  in Finance, Accounting
