Coordinates and evaluates the quality of nursing/patient care, financial stability and service productivity.  The Director is responsible for the professional development and morale of the service teams and has a close working relationship with the general management team and the medical staff to effectively meet system goals, organizational goals and all pillars relating to the departments he/she oversees.Responsible for direction of patient care in the medical surgical setting. Manages staff members in the ICU. Consults with staff, physicians and Nurse Executive on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.  Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Assists in formulating budget. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.Graduate Degree, preferred

Bachelors Degree- required
Must have current Texas Nursing License
BLS for healthcare providers preferred
3-5 year experience in a Director position
Specialty certifications within 1 year of position, as appropriate
