Davidson Technologies is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama to support the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) under Army PEO Missiles & Space (PEO M&S). This role provides cybersecurity expertise, risk management, and compliance oversight, ensuring secure development and deployment of critical defense systems.
The selected candidate will work with PEO leadership, ISSM team, and cross-functional Agile teams to integrate and manage security requirements across IBCS environments, including domestic and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead cybersecurity risk assessments, vulnerability management, and compliance for IBCS systems.
- Implement NIST 800-53, Risk Management Framework (RMF), DISA STIGs, and Zero Trust security principles.
- Oversee cybersecurity audits, eMASS compliance, and system accreditation.
- Provide expertise on DevSecOps security integration and secure software assurance.
- Assess and mitigate threats across Windows, Linux, and cloud-based environments.
- Coordinate with vendors, red/blue teams, and government stakeholders to strengthen cybersecurity posture.
- Mentor cybersecurity personnel and support training initiatives.
- Travel as needed to IBCS facilities and deployed locations for security assessments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in DoD cybersecurity, DevSecOps, or secure software assurance.
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification (or ability to obtain).
- Strong understanding of RMF, NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, and Zero Trust.
- Hands-on experience with cyber risk assessment, vulnerability management, and eMASS accreditation.
- Ability to collaborate with government stakeholders and Agile teams.
