Position with our client:
Design Engineer: ( 2D/3D, GD&T, automotive)
Summary:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform moderate to complex technical tasks through the application of engineering principles and practices.
Interface with customers in order to identify needs for new tool designs.
Generate and document new tool designs from concept, to prototype, to manufacturing and packaging for end use.
Ensure completion of assigned tasks within budget, time and cost constraints.
Identify and recommend opportunities for product improvements and cost savings.
Provide technical counsel and assistance to less experienced team members.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Focused technical knowledge, usually acquired by a minimum of 5 years automotive related experience.
Experience with automotive OEM service and diagnostic tools is a plus.
3D & 2D CAD proficiency is preferred.
Experience interpreting and applying GD&T principals.
Good communication, organization and time management skills.
Hands on experience with simple to complex automotive repairs is preferred.
Function well as a motivated and contributing team member.
