Position Summary
Perform maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on various heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair class 6-8 powered tractors
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system failures
- Assist with engine, transmission, differential, and spring replacements
- Troubleshoot engine, brake, electrical, and exhaust systems
- Document repairs and maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with team for complex repairs
- Test vehicles post-repair for proper function
Qualifications
- Must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and legal work authorization
- Must provide personal tools and communicate effectively in English
Preferred
- 2+ years diesel mechanic experience
- Proficiency with diagnostic software
Physical & Work Conditions
- Ability to stand, lift up to 100 lbs, and work in tight spaces
- Visual and hearing acuity required for inspections and safety
