Job Title: Diesel Mechanic
Reports To: 
Maintenance Manager
Pay:  Commensurate with experience
Hours:  Mon-Fri 6 am-4 pm, Sat- as needed
Location: Scottsville Rd., Rochester

General Purpose of Position:
  • The purpose of this position is to service, repair, and maintain our fleet of diesel trucks and various types of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on all diesel vehicles such as trucks, trailers, and loaders
  • Troubleshoot and repair all types of diesel engine machines
  • Diagnose and repair heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts, skid steers)
  • Repair, replace, recondition, dissemble, weld, and examine parts and engines
  • Maintain inventory of tools and supplies
  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager
  • Comply with all company safety measures and government regulations
  • Communicate with drivers and customers with a professional attitude

Physical Requirements:
  •  Ability to lift and move heavy objects (over 50 pounds)
  • Squat and kneel 
  • Bend and twist as appropriate
  • Sit/Stand for long periods at a time
 Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess and valid Class B CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) a plus
  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic
  • Must have own tools
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening & background check.
