Marcfirst provides a continuum of services and supports for families, children and adults throughout their lifetime including residential, vocational development, employment, high school transition and therapeutic supports for children. Marcfirst is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work in our Supported Living program. Marcfirst currently supports ten Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILA) in the Bloomington-Normal area with 2-8 adults in each group home. DSPs provide a variety of services to adults with developmental disabilities. These services are meant to increase independence and overall life fulfillment.
Pay: $12.20/hour (plus $0.50/hour pay increase once med authorization training is completed)
Job Type: Full Time (30 hours/week)
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision.
