Position Summary:  The Director of Facilities Engineering is responsible for planning and designing processes to assure an appropriate, effective, safe reliable environment for patient care services and business operations. Coordinates the day-to-day management of inspections, calibrations, maintenance, and repairs of the buildings, infrastructure, and grounds of CCMC. The Director will maintain an ongoing assessment of the condition of the building, infrastructure, and grounds of CCMC to determine the needs for overhaul or replacement. Develops operational and capital budgets for maintenance, operation, and minor construction managed through the Engineering Department. They will participate in the planning, bidding, construction, and commissioning phases of major construction projects. Also, participates in the strategic planning process. Will oversee the development and management of appropriate environmental and patient safety program components related to engineering activities. Will maintain compliance with licensure regulations, accreditation standards, and other applicable codes, regulations, and standards.


Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Facilities Management, a field of Engineering or related field.

- Five (5) years of associated engineering experience in a healthcare setting in one or a combination of the following areas: facility management; operations and maintenance; clinical engineering; safety and security; planning, design and construction; or environmental management.
- Five (5) years of experience in a management/supervisory/administrative capacity in a healthcare setting.
