Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of industry experience across all phases of building and managing a retail store fleet.
- Experience managing retail industry financials with P&L responsibility.
- Experience in managing and growing teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA.
- Experience in retail in the consumer technology market.
- Experience working with global and cross-functional internal and external teams to build and manage a retail fleet.
- Experience in commercial and contractual negotiations with both landlords and retail operations partners.
- Experience in international retail, to include the Americas, Europe, and APAC.
- Excellent investigative, quantitative reasoning, problem solving, creativity, and strategic skills.
About the Job:
As the Director, Google Store Retail you will oversee the successful operation and expansion of our retail store business. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of a rapidly growing portfolio of stores: driving the strategic and financial leadership to build and operate the fleet, running a high-performing and sustainable business, and guiding insights across Google to best support our customers and Google's priorities. You will deliver our roadmap of growth and expansion including internationally.
In this role, you will be responsible for helping people connect directly with Google. You'll be responsible for all elements of our retail store program: strategy, real estate and new store openings, manage fleets (sales, repairs, financials), influence marketing, engineering, store design and construction, systems work, and manage the analytics to measure and improve stores.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and financial leadership as they oversee the Google Store Retail business, driving decisions on store locations, formats, and focus areas.
- Build the retail fleet by executing sustainable lease agreements and working with our Design and Build teams to land build outs on-time and on-budget.
- Manage the retail fleet while delivering execution across customer education, sales, and support.
- Run the business and drive the P&L while meeting commitments on top-line business, cost and operating profit, while deeply owning financials.
- Drive the infrastructure by influencing product, engineering, and operations work needed to build stores to support our customers and our logistics needs.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $246,000-$354,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
