Microsoft AI (MAI) is a customer-first organization building AI powered products in service of our customer’s business goals. As the Principal Communications Manager for Microsoft AI Monetization, you will assist the leadership team in communicating how our organization enhances customers' businesses through our products, data, and services. This will involve advertising and developing new business models for AI-first products. This role requires knowledge and deep awareness of our product strategy to help communicate our approach and impact to our internal teams.
Our Monetization teams work within Microsoft AI, an organization responsible for Copilot, Bing, Edge, MSN, and other AI-first products. The organization has all the ingredients needed for success with Product, Engineering, Research, and Go To Market functions partnering as peers with shared goals. This enables close collaboration and rapid decision making.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute an internal Monetization communications strategy aligned with MAI and Microsoft messaging where applicable
  • Craft clear compelling and consistent messaging
  • Provide strategic communication counsel to leadership
  • Manage and optimize internal communication channels
  • Support change management communications
  • Workclosely with product, sales, engineering, marketing, MAI communications and legal across the company as a trusted partner and advisor.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience
  • A big, strategic thinker who is skilled at looking across the business, connecting dots, seeing the bigger picture, and articulating customer benefit andvalue
  • Agreat storytellerwith strong writing skillswhohas the ability todistill technicalor complexcontent and make it relatable to the masses.
  • A self-starter withcan-do attitude–highly entrepreneurial, energetic and self-motivatedwithexperience in cross-group collaboration and confident presence with executives and customers/partners.
  • Deft navigation ofmulti-facetedstakeholder and business partner landscape as well as tight collaboration across other communications teamsboth inside and outside the companyto achieve commongoals
  • Experience in storytelling, issuesmanagement, technologyproductPR, agency management and media relations, experience with vertical industry PR a bonus
  • Excellentcollaborationandcommunication skills, ability to be nimble and flexible and adaptable to changing customer dynamics.
  • 8+yearsof experience in public relations, communications,analyst relationsor journalism
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in public relations, marketing or journalism.
Preferred Qualifications

Communications IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
