We’re looking for a Director of Pharmacy, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position, you will provide highly specialized integrated clinical pharmacy services through drug usage reviews, formulary analysis, disease management evaluations, and ensure strong strategic partnerships.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Support CMOs in driving strategic planning and direction, business growth, and profitability for pharmacy products and services.
  2. Work with senior management to develop appropriate objectives and financial targets for all aspects of drug product benefit coverage and reimbursement. Provide knowledge regarding quality of care for pharmaceuticals. Working with the CMOs and Medical Director for Utilization Management, provide input into the development of medical care guidelines for medication utilization. Engage with business leaders regarding operational issues related to retail pharmacies and clinician-administered medications.
  3. Act as liaison to various groups and organizations, representing TCHP and its interests. Manage relationships with pharmacy benefit managers. Responsible for auditing pharmacy benefit managers as part of the consortium. Attend consortium/PBM meetings to represent TCHP. Ensure accurate and timely state reporting and submission of other regulatory documents.
  4. Design and implement robust educational programs. Author and contribute to pharmacy-related articles for TCHP and member newsletters as needed. Support programs to improve quality of care related to pharmacy, including state programs. Support contracting, provider relations, member services, and care management with clinical expertise as needed.
  5. Demonstrate time and resource management by delegating responsibility, prioritizing activities, and collaborating with other units/departments/entities as needed.
  6. Demonstrate commitment to the team, flexibility, professional interpersonal communication, critical thinking, and customer service skills.

Skills & Requirements
  1. Required: Ph.D. Doctor of Pharmacy
  2. Required: RPH – Pharmacist by the State of Texas
  3. Required: 3 years' experience as a registered pharmacist and 1 year pharmacy managed care residency program or 1 year experience in managed care
