Kiddie Academy of Aurora is seeking lead and assistant teachers for our brand-new educational childcare center opening Fall 2021! We are looking for full or part time quality teachers for our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms. JOB DESCRIPTION

Teachers at Kiddie Academy of Aurora are responsible for the daily planning, management, and supervision of the classroom and children. The lead teacher is generally assisted in the classroom by an assistant teacher, and is responsible in ensuring all parents, children, and classroom staff concerns are appropriately addressed. Responsibilities

•        Assist and supervise children during all activities

•        Provide positive guidance to children 

•        Develop, plan, and prepare curriculum materials and classroom activities

•        Ensure that the appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained 

•        Complete all academy and classroom paperwork

•        Attend and participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested

•        Prepare and implement our Life Essentials curriculum, programs, and daily schedules

•        Direct activities of other staff in the classroom to ensure that the classroom functions in an orderly manner

Knowledge and Skills

Must meet all Colorado state requirements for this position

•        Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of OR must be in a high school work study program relating to the area of childcare

•        Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality

•        Highly professional and dependable

•        Must be able to interact warmly, appropriately, and professionally with students of all ages (6 weeks-5 years) and skill levels, as well as with parents, coworkers, and management 

•        Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high

•        Experience in childcare is preferred

•        Must pass a complete background check to be eligible for this position
