Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer - Substation Design for a full-time role, preferably in Florida or Illinois. Must hold a PE license and have 8 years in high-voltage substation engineering, including physical layouts, protection, and control systems.
Responsibilities include leading substation projects (69kV–500kV), developing designs, performing electrical calculations, coordinating protection/control, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Will serve as technical lead, review drawings, collaborate across disciplines, and support clients and field activities.
Required qualifications: BSc in Electrical Engineering, PE license, extensive T&D utility experience, strong communication, and leadership skills. Preferred: HV/EHV substation experience, relay protection, proposal development, and mentoring.
