Title: Power Distribution Engineer I

Sterling Engineering is looking for a Power Distribution Engineer I in Maitland, FL. This role supports electrical utility projects with a focus on distribution design and field coordination.
Job Duties:
- Develop designs for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems
- Support projects including pole replacements, reconductoring, service line connections, lighting, and utility relocations
- Perform field data collection and assist with site meetings alongside crews and stakeholders
- Support road widening and feeder projects
- Assist with storm restoration efforts, including damage assessment
- Utilize design tools and specifications to complete project deliverables
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET accredited)
- Some experience in power distribution or related field preferred
- Basic understanding of electrical distribution systems
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work in both office and field environments
