Engineer III, Transmission & Substation
Designs electrical layouts, plans, material lists, and construction drawings for utility transmission and substation facilities.
Develops design packages including arrangements, ground grids, conduit layouts, and equipment specifications.
Engineers safe, economical transmission lines, providing technical guidance to clients and team members.
Assists with project scopes, estimates, schedules, and proposals.
Requires a B.S. in Engineering, 4-10 years utility experience with PE registration or 10+ years without.
Must understand utility systems, read technical documents, perform structural force calculations, and work independently or in teams.
Preferred skills include substation design experience.
Work is primarily in a climate-controlled office.
