The Engineering Manager for Saint Gobain PONY is responsible for leading the Manufacturing/Process Engineering and Maintenance functions at the site. This position oversees the development, implementation and improvement of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency; ensures the engineering/maintenance team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively and is responsible for the development, improvement and maintenance of equipment to aid in the manufacturing process; leads and directs the work of assigned manufacturing engineers and relative project work.
The Engineering Manager is also responsible for overseeing all maintenance and facility related operations including but not limited to building and grounds maintenance, facility security, facility EHS compliance and regulatory conformity.
Responsible for daily engineering activities/requirements to meet the customer demands related to the business. Provide a Safe working environment and support the technical requirements of manufacturing. The incumbent is responsible for establishing an engaging and customer centric organization while improving operational performance.
The Engineering Manager and his team will have responsibility to support at EHS related activities particularly in the areas of machine guarding, LOTO, Risk Assessment and Waste programs.
It is the responsibility of the Engineering Manager to ensure the development of talent in order to create a strong pipeline of leaders for the future.
Member of the Leadership Team in PONY. Attend Leadership Staff meetings to coordinate with other departments (Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Customer Service, HR, EHS, Applications Development Engineering, etc.)
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or realted discipline
Experience in manufacturing environment within an engineering role
Proven track record of success in managing engineering and maintenance programs,and maintaining compliance with pertinent regulations
Supervisory experience responsible for engineering and/or maintenance personnel
Expereince in facitlites management
Proven ability to design, manage, and implement projects of a technical nature
