Engineering Technician

THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON BID AWARD

The Engineering Technician shall serve as the Contracting Officer’s technical representative, preparing construction project documents such as estimates for projects.

• Support preparation of project documents including estimates, Statement of Work (SoW), and Statement of Objectives (SoO).
• Assist with inspection and evaluation of construction projects for compliance with plans, specifications and phase.
• Communicate and coordination with project stakeholders
• Review technical submittals, Request for Information (RFI), and documentation.
• Prepare broad drawings, layouts, for construction work.
• Serve as a technical liaison in support of project execution.
• Other duties as assigned

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or 3 years equivalent experience in Construction support, estimating, drafting, or engineering technician roles.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting preparation of Statements of Work, Statements of Objectives, project estimates, construction project documentation and package development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree from accredited programs as an Engineering, Architecture, or related field

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Familiarity with Air Force Civil Engineering processes or similar federal construction environments.
• Familiarity with cost estimating tools (RSMeans or equivalent)Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience in drafting
• Experience in surveying and inspecting construction and estimating.
• Possess communication and coordination skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC).
• Experience in engineering, construction, or related technical field.
• Experience with drafting, surveying, inspection, or estimating functions.
