The main purpose of the Entertainment Technician is:

  • Create innovative and fun family entertainment utilizing specialized skills and abilities, provide outstanding internal and external guest service at all times, ensuring a positive guest experience


  • Maintain all entertainment technical aspects of Nickelodeon Universe, DreamWorks Water Park, and ERC to include: sound, lighting, and event support
  • Maintain NU stage including: lighting, props, sound, trussing and stage build
  • Oversee and maintain all entertainment backstage areas and needs
  • Be able to call, cue, and oversee technical needs of all performances held on NU stage
  • Be able to perform basic maintenance repairs on stage and backstage areas
  • Be able to oversee and execute load in, setup, and breakdown of sets for performing guests
  • Ensure all performances are of the highest standards and appropriate for family audiences
  • Address team member and guest concerns and inquiries
  • Ensure safety of team members and guests
  • Abide by and enforce licensing agreements and regulations among Entertainment staff
  • Special events as assigned
  • Follow all company and department policies and procedures 


  • Education: College Degree preferred in creative field
  • Attaining 1-3 years experience in related theatrical venues including a management role
  • Public speaking experience helpful
  • Ability to positively direct and motivate employees
  • Ability to trouble shoor in a constantly changing environment/flexible with last minute changes
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel programs
