Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 of the most recent 4 years' experience performing Environment of Care duties
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and make decisions based on data, policies, and procedures
- Proficient in word processing and PC based spreadsheet programs
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
Licensure/Registration/Certification:
- Valid US driver’s license
- Completion of OSHA 511 Standards for general industries
- NFPA 101 Life Safety within 12 months of placement in position
- NFPA 99 Health Care Facility Code within 12 months of placement in position
Desired Qualifications:
Licensure/Registration/Certification:
- Certified Life Safety Specialist for Health Care Facility Managers (CLSS-HC) through National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
Carries out the duties focused on the Environment of Care and Life Safety including hazard surveillance, scheduling inspections, managing the Safety Data Sheets, Hazardous Materials, and Waste programs, and maintains associated documentation. Responsible for ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors, staff, and properties in regard to physical, chemical and environmental hazards.
