PSI, an Intertek Company, a leading provider of ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification) Services, is looking for a Project Scientist to join our Building and Construction. The position will be based in Memphis, TN.

Applicants must be willing to work off hours, weekends, and possible overtime hours in order to meet the aggressive schedules of the projects.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conducting Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments
  • Conducting groundwater monitoring activities
  • Conducting vapor intrusion studies
  • Performing Asbestos/Lead/Mold Surveys a plus
  • Technical Report writing
  • Assist department manager with existing projects to include coordinating/performing field activities including inspections, managing budgets/subcontractors, report preparation
  • Assist with and establish client relationships along with fostering client retention
  • Prepares and/or authorizes proposals and coordinate workload of support staff
  • Communicates effectively with client and project teams and managing subcontractors
  • Organizing and maintaining various projects at one time
  • Must be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work


Essential Requirements & Qualifications:

  • achelor's Degree in Geology, Engineering or Environmental Sciences
  • Minimum of 5 years of Phase I/II ESA experience (Preferred, but not required)
  • emediation experience is required
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and interact effectively.
  • Must be able to work, manage tasks, and schedule independently
  • Ability to pass a driving record check, drug screen, and background check in accordance with company policy.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound.
  • Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)
  • Ability to climb occasionally
