We have 2 new EP positions available in Metro Birmingham, Alabama.
The practice consists of 15 physicians: 4 non-interventional, 2 electrophysiologists (one is leaving to be with family in TN after working for BHC for 15 years), and the rest are interventional cardiologists.
There are 5 locations on our campuses. The resignation is effective December 31. We are hoping to hire one experienced EP and one new graduate. The practice was planning to expand the EP position prior to the resignation.
They have returned to normal operations post-Covid and kept everyone whole during the pandemic.

Position Details:
- 3 years to partnership, possibly 2 years, with buy-in over 18 months.
- Salary with discretionary bonus in the mid $400s.
- $12K moving expense, $3K CME + 5 days.
- ProAssurance is claims made.
- 15 days of PTO + holidays + 8 additional days during the week of Christmas or the week after.
- 401K after 1 year + profit sharing to maximize contributions.
- Medical and dental at no cost for an individual or family.
- $150K life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability.
- $450K of insurance on own.

Training:
- Internal Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, EP fellowship.
- No visas available.

Practice Information:
- Established 28 years ago with 3-4 rooms in the clinic.
- Own Medical Assistant and RN, shared Device Tech, Device MA, NP.
- Procedures performed 3 days per week.
- Physician leaving sees 30 patients per day in the clinic, 2 days per week.
- EMR: Nextgen in the office, Cerner in the hospital.
- In-office procedures include Echo, Vascular Ultrasound, Stress test, PET, CT, Event monitor, Holter monitor, ABI.
- Medicare 35%, Blue Cross 35%, Medicaid accepted.
- Clinic days see 30 patients.
- Person at the hospital handles all patients and procedures in the hospital.

Call Schedule:
- Primary call with non-interventionists is 1:6 weekdays.
- Weekend call is 1:7-8, with 2 people on call during the weekend.
- All share holidays equally.
- Significant support from another EP and 2 new EPs.
- Large and well-established referral base, ready-made practice.
