Equipment Engineer III- Irving, TX- Onsite
 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Equipment Engineer III to support equipment procurement, financial management, and project logistics for telecom infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in the wireless telecom industry, strong project management skills, and the ability to coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure seamless equipment deliveries and expenditures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial aspects of projects, including spending, purchase orders (POs), and vendor payments.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely invoicing and equipment deliveries.
  • Design, procure, and manage equipment for new cell sites.
  • Support the Equipment Engineering team with equipment order logistics.
  • Use FUZE to order equipment and track procurement.
  • Forecast future equipment needs based on project start dates.
  • Ensure proper tracking of all components and monitor equipment expenditures.
  • Oversee equipment receipt and acceptance.
  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely vendor payments.
  • Optimize equipment procurement and utilization.
  • Work closely with team members, demonstrating strong project management and communication skills.

 

Must-Have Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or Electronics, or three or more years of work experience in a related field.
  • Experience in the wireless telecom industry.
  • Targeted Years of Experience: 5-7 years
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace tools, including PivotTable and VLOOKUP for data analysis.
  • Well-organized with the ability to work under time pressure and manage competing priorities.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience working with Verizon tools (FUZE, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Samsung RAN equipment.
  • Familiarity with CIQ (Carrier Information Questionnaire).
  • Subject matter expertise in telecom technologies.
  • Understanding of RF, Transport, and Wireless Construction.
  • Experience with HUB, CRAN, & DRAN architectures.
  • Engineering, Planning, and/or Operations knowledge of 5G Wireless Networks.
  • Experience with power, space, and cooling considerations in telecom environments.
