Clinician – Court-Ordered Substance Use Evaluations (Per Diem/Contract)

Location: King of Prussia, PA & Montgomery County Correctional Facility
Program: Rise Above – Resources for Human Development
Compensation:$70 per completed evaluation (flat rate)

Position Overview:
Rise Above, a Resources for Human Development (RHD) program, is an outpatient treatment facility located in King of Prussia, PA, serving individuals with substance use disorders. We are seeking a qualified and experienced clinician to conduct court-ordered substance use evaluations for individuals involved in the Montgomery County legal system.

Evaluations are conducted both at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility and at the Rise Above program office. This role is ideal for clinicians with strong assessment skills, familiarity with ASAM criteria, and experience working with justice-involved populations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain availability to conduct court-ordered evaluations as needed by the program.
  • Review referrals and collateral documentation provided by referral sources.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical interviews with individuals referred for evaluation.
  • Assess substance use and co-occurring mental health needs.
  • Develop and complete written narrative evaluation reports, including treatment recommendations.
  • Submit completed evaluations to designated staff by established deadlines.
  • Ensure documentation meets program, legal, and clinical standards.

Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience conducting evaluations or assessments with adults who have substance use disorders and/or co-occurring disorders.
  • Working knowledge of ASAM placement criteria and levels of care.
  • Experience working with individuals involved in the criminal justice system strongly preferred.
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills.
