SUMMARY
Central Environmental Inc, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Expeditor to work 35-40 plus hours per week, 7:00am – 5:00pm in various locations throughout Fairbanks and surrounding areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
• In absence of the Ops Manager, reports to the Superintendent.
• Compiles and maintains material and parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material and parts between vendors, different departments and work areas, according to predetermined schedules and order priorities.
• Reads and schedules inventory reports and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required.
• Tracks availability of stock and order priority. - Confers with department supervisors to determine overdue material and parts.
• Locates and distributes materials to specified work areas.
• Manually uses handcart, hand truck.
• Examine material received, verify part numbers, and check discrepancies, such as damaged or unmarked parts.
• Compare work ticket specifications to material used at work stations to verify appropriate assignment.
• May drive truck with trailer to outlying work areas to move large supply orders, check status of orders, or to deliver materials.
• May assist in shipping and receiving of materials.
• Monitor the flow of materials, components, tooling and paperwork between departments to conform with production schedules.
• Confer with supervisors to eliminate difficulties and delays.
• Facilitate rush orders, prepare standard progress reports, and notify a supervisor of major problems.
• Perform other tasks as required

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
