Seeking an Archaeologist to provide technical guidance in collecting, identifying, and analyzing artifacts, spatial, and observational data for cultural resource management.
- Assist with field investigations, surveys, excavations, and site documentation ensuring compliance with preservation laws.
- Use GIS, GPS, and mapping tools to determine site locations and sensitivities.
- Prepare reports, impact assessments, and support permitting activities like CEQA and NEPA.
- Maintain quality control, calibrate equipment, and ensure safety protocols.
- Analyze data, develop visualizations, and contribute to project planning and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with teams, uphold ethical standards, and adapt to project needs.
Requirements include an advanced degree in Archaeology or related field, 3-5 years of experience, proficiency with GIS and field technologies, knowledge of preservation laws, strong communication skills, and safety training. Occasional travel may be required.
