Job Overview:

United Trades of America is seeking an experienced Bilingual Commercial Framer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This role requires expertise in framing commercial structures using wood, metal studs, and concrete forming techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, blueprint reading, and framing methods while being comfortable working in a team environment.

As a Commercial Framer, you will be responsible for constructing the framework of buildings and other structures according to project specifications. Your ability to accurately measure, cut, and install materials is essential to ensuring the structural integrity of each build. While bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are acceptable, they are not required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Frame Construction: Build wood and metal stud structures based on blueprints and schematics.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret detailed construction plans to ensure precise measurements and cuts.
• Structural Integrity: Assemble frames, ensuring all connections are secure and up to code.
• Concrete Forming: Assist in forming and pouring concrete foundations and structures.
• Siding & Finishing: Install exterior siding and apply plaster when necessary.
• Heavy Equipment Use: Operate machinery as needed for framing tasks.
• Remodeling Projects: Modify existing structures, removing and replacing framing elements as required.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all job site safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years in commercial framing is preferred.
• Skills: Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, including measuring, cutting, and shaping materials.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with concrete forming, metal building erection, and siding installation.
• Tools: Must be able to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Language: English proficiency required; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.

Compensation:

Hourly pay is based on experience, ranging from $20 - $30 per hour.
