Seeking an Experienced Substation Electrical Engineer in Billings, MT to support power and energy substation projects.
Provides technical guidance in planning, designing, and constructing utility transmission and distribution substations, including drawings, calculations, and specifications for medium- and high-voltage systems.
Responsibilities include data analysis, compliance with industry standards, development of diagrams and layouts, grounding and lightning protection design, field verification, and technical documentation. The role involves supporting project scope, conducting engineering studies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, 3-5 years of relevant experience, knowledge of standards like IEEE and NESC, proficiency with design software, and strong communication skills. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s Degree and EIT certification.
