Under general supervision, directs operations in the Eatery/Steakhouse/Casino Bars on an assigned shift; creates/modifies server assignment to ensure overall operational efficiency and excellent Guest Service, maximizes profitability and customer satisfaction through maintaining the highest service standards; supervises restaurant and beverage staff; and performs other duties as required.
The position is distinguished from other Eatery/Steakhouse/Beverage staff by its responsibility for restaurant and beverage operations and the supervision of other staff.
Provides direction, establishes priorities, assigns tasks, coordinates work and/or monitors the work of other restaurant personnel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (This class specification may not include all the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all the duties that may be performed.)
Supervise Eatery/Steakhouse/Beverage operations by establishing priorities, assigning, coordinating and/or monitoring the work of restaurant and beverage staff during an assigned shift, including assigning tasks, providing training, scheduling breaks and evaluating performance in order to promote smooth, efficient operations and excellent guest service.
Oversee the performance of restaurant and beverage staff, providing regular input regarding quality and quantity of work; provide Team Members with guidance and direction to correct deficiencies and improve productivity.
Maintain established practices and procedures to be followed by assigned personnel in the course of daily operations in order to promote operational efficiency.
Oversee Eatery/Steakhouse functions by reviewing the menu and service requirements; inspecting table settings for correct placement, cleanliness and attractiveness; checking-in staff, assigning workstations and pre/post shift duties and; managing the service received by the guests throughout the shift in order to guarantee the success of the Eatery/Steakhouse/Casino Bars.
Ensure that funds are balanced at the beginning and end of shift by physically counting money (or overseeing the count performed by another) to complete cash drawer accounting and validate the accuracy of transactions during the shift.
Respond to guests' questions, using the Quick Reference Guide, providing information about casino gaming promotions, special and other events and/or programs in order to assist guests, advertise marketing campaigns and encourage guest attendance and participation.
Respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner to provide information within the area of assignment.
Provide training and oversight to Eatery/Steakhouse/Beverage staff.
Ensure that assigned staff performs duties and responsibilities in a safe and prudent manner, not exposing them or others to unnecessary harm or risk of on-the-job injury.
Perform the full range of set-up, server and busser duties as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
