Facilities Coordinator
Location: Tempe, AZ
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexibility required)
Pay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Employment Type: Contract with potential for full-time conversion
About the Opportunity
LHH is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Facilities Coordinator to support day-to-day operations at a corporate facility in Tempe, AZ. This individual will play a key role in maintaining a safe, functional, and professional environment for employees and visitors. The ideal candidate is proactive, hands-on, and comfortable interacting with both internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities Maintenance & Upkeep
Perform daily walkthroughs to ensure facility conditions are maintained (temperature, cleanliness, functionality)
Coordinate routine maintenance and minor repairs across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
Assist with furniture setup, internal moves, and event setup/breakdown
Monitor critical areas such as server rooms to ensure proper operation
Vendor Coordination
Support scheduling and supervision of vendors and contractors
Remain onsite with vendors during service visits to ensure compliance and building security
Review completed work to ensure quality and adherence to expectations
Administrative & Operational Support
Maintain facility records, service contracts, and compliance documentation
Assist with scheduling, procurement, and basic budget tracking
Manage inventory of supplies and place orders as needed
Safety & Compliance
Ensure facility operations align with safety standards and regulations
Support emergency preparedness plans and workplace safety initiatives
Space & Support Services Coordination
Assist with office layout planning and space optimization
Coordinate internal office moves and workspace adjustments
Act as a liaison for services such as cleaning, catering, parking, and security
Qualifications
Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or building systems
Experience working with vendors and service providers preferred
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and facility management tools
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Education & Experience
High school diploma required
Associate degree or higher in Facilities Management, Business, or a related field preferred
Prior experience in facilities coordination or a similar role is a plus
