The role involves overseeing facility operations, maintenance, utilities, and infrastructure support activities at assigned NIST locations to ensure reliable operations for mission-critical research.


In this position, you will:

  • Plan, direct, coordinate, schedule, inspect, and supervise facility and infrastructure activities.
  • Manage facility and trades staff supporting building systems, utilities, preventative maintenance, repairs, and projects.
  • Oversee utility and infrastructure systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient campus operations.
  • Coordinate with researchers, staff, contractors, utility providers, and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), developing procurement packages and acquisition documents.
  • Monitor and manage maintenance, repair, and service contracts.
  • Ensure safety compliance and implement best management practices.
  • Support planning and execution of facility improvement, repair, and sustainment projects.
