Position Description: Facility Maintenance Planner Scheduler
Overview
The Facility Maintenance Planner Scheduler is a key role within the facility management team, responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective planning and scheduling of maintenance activities. This position requires an individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans that ensure the reliability and availability of facility equipment and systems.
Scheduling: Create and manage detailed schedules for maintenance activities, coordinating with internal teams and external contractors to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Resource Allocation: Allocate resources, including personnel, tools, and materials, to ensure maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Work Order Management: Oversee the creation, tracking, and completion of work orders using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and equipment history.
Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance maintenance operations.
Coordinate Facility Condition Assessments, organize data and deliver related reports.
Manage inception, life cycle and decommissioning of facility assets and system.
Develops and maintains inventory of materials and parts critical to the facility.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field or demonstrated equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility maintenance planning and scheduling, with a focus on complex systems and equipment.
Skills:
Proficiency in CMMS and other maintenance management software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) are preferred.
Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of maintenance processes, equipment, and systems.
Work Environment
The Facility Maintenance Planner Scheduler will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines. The role may involve occasional travel to various facilities and interaction with various stakeholders, including management, maintenance staff, and external contractors.
Reporting Structure
This position typically reports to the Facility Manager or Director of Operations. The Senior Facility Maintenance Planner Scheduler may also provide guidance and mentorship to junior maintenance planning staff.

Estimated compensation for this position:
68,395.00 - 85,494.24 USD per year
This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
