Finance Administrator

Our Accounting & Finance Staffing team is looking to speak with candidates interested in hybrid opportunities in Cambridge, MA with specifications similar to those below:

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a resource for business units on transactional inquires and financial budgetary questions that require problem-solving and analytical capability
  • Develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for several business units
  • Support day-to-day financial operations with review and approval of financial transactions, RFPs, travel vouchers, credit card charges, journal vouchers and billing
  • Process and reconcile all bills, invoices, and requisitions
  • Review expense requests, address inquiries, and settle any billing discrepancies that arise
  • Assist with financial reporting to various funding organizations, including progress reports
  • Interpret award terms and conditions and provides guidance to business unit leads and project leads on financial and sponsored matters including systems, policies and procedures, and compliance
  • Complete regular billing tasks and tackle special projects using QuickBooks and Salesforce as requested
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and perform Export Control screenings
  • Ensure department efficacy by assessing and proactively improving upon policies and operating practices as much as possible

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
  • 3+ years of related professional experience required; sponsored Finance experience preferred
  • Experience with federal contracts and financial administration and knowledge of federal guidelines
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel including querying, pivot tables, and extensive formulaic knowledge
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, Tableau, Kuali COEUS & other financial and administrative systems
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and/or Salesforce preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgment in handling confidential matters when necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tasks and deadlines independently
